The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback will be joining a list of celebrities, including singer Selena Gomez, at events taking place throughout this upcoming weekend. If you’re not familiar with Big Slick, it’s an annual fundraising event benefiting Children’s Mercy’s Cancer Center. KC natives David Koechner, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet and Jason Sudekis host the event. Mahomes recently surprised kids at Children’s Mercy with gear from Adidas and his 15 and the Mahomies foundation. His presence at the fundraiser will further help Children’s Mercy.Big Slick weekend includes the following three events that are open to the public:Friday, June 7 — celebrity softball game at Kauffman StadiumSaturday, June 8 — celebrity bowling tournamentSaturday, June 8 — Big Slick party and showIt is unclear exactly which events Mahomes will be participating in, but the softball game and bowling tournament sound like natural fits (as always, don’t tell Veach). Current Chiefs Travis Kelce and Dustin Colquitt have both played in the celebrity softball game in the past.The Chiefs are scheduled to wrap up OTAs on Friday afternoon across the parking lot prior to the softball game at the K. Mandatory minicamp is next week.This will be the 10th year for Big Slick KC Cameron Erving Jersey , which has raised over $8 million since its inception back in 2010. The Los Angeles Chargers' Adrian Phillips believes the Tennessee Titans made the right decision to go for a potential go-ahead 2-pointer with 31 seconds remaining 鈥?and not just because it failed.Phillips broke up Marcus Mariota's pass attempt, the Titans' second after a defensive penalty on the first attempt, and the Chargers held on for a 20-19 victory on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Chargers (5-2), who weathered the absence of running back Melvin Gordon to a hamstring injury and relied upon their defense to pull out the win."It was a great decision," Phillips said. "That's the game right there. If I'm the head coach, I go for it, too. You have the momentum. You just (went) 70 yards.
