Discarded North Melbourne veteran Drew Petrie joined West Coast at Mondays AFL rookie draft, but Sydney forward Xavier Richards is out of a job. After playing in their losing grand final side, the 23-year-old Petrie turned down a two-year deal to stay with the Swans to seek an opportunity in his home state of Victoria. But he went through the trade period and both drafts without attracting a suitor to see his AFL career stall on 12 games.Eagles defender Mitch Brown also turned down a contract in the hope of moving back to Victoria but the 94-game veterans career appears over after he went undrafted. With 316 games under his belt, 34-year-old Petrie shapes as a short-term fix for the Eagles with star ruckman Nic Naitanui out for the season with a knee injury and Scott Lycett set for an interrupted preseason. The rookie draft provided some surprise lifelines with delisted Fremantle midfielder Tendai Mzungu joining teammate Matt de Boer, who was selected at Fridays national draft, at Greater Western Sydney.Carlton selected ex-Docker Alex Silvagni and after being delisted by Essendon Shaun Edwards - who started his career at GWS - was picked up by Sydney.Former Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson had been linked with a move to Collingwood but was reported to have announced his retirement shortly before the rookie draft got underway.A host of players were re-drafted by the clubs that cut them just a few weeks ago, including Shaun McKernan (Essendon), Jack Fitzpatrick (Hawthorn), Josh Prudden (Western Bulldogs) and Fraser McInnes (West Coast).Adelaides Sam Shaw and the Giants Joel Patfull were also re-drafted by their respective clubs but the retired pair still wont play next year, with the move purely administrative for salary cap purposes. After missing out on selection at the national draft, Ben Jarman, the son of Crows and Hawthorn great Darren, and Sam, the son of 114-game Cat Sean, joined Adelaide and Geelong respectively. The Bombers used the first pick of the rookie draft on South Adelaide ruckman Sam Draper. James Harden Jersey . Cuban testified Thursday that he was upset when the companys CEO told him news that would reduce the value of his shares, for which hed paid $7.5 million. After a first half in which he thought "the lid was on the basket," the Toronto Raptors coach watched his squad mount a second half surge to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-91. Luka Doncic Jersey . Sulaiman, 44, was chosen unanimously Tuesday in a vote by the leadership, the World Boxing Council said. Sulaiman becomes the sixth president of the organization. Now that weve revealed the Top 20 Moments in Indian Sport, its time to disclose how the list was picked. The first step was the most democratic way possible -- asking everybody on our desk to send in their top 30 moments. We collated all the entries - more than 75 -- and then whittled them down to a shortlist of 30, which we forwarded to each member of our panel. The panelists -- five in-house, 26 from outside?-- were given the shortlist but advised that they could introduce their own personal preferences, and we got a few of those too. Suggestions from outside included Paralympian Devendra Jhajharias world record, Anita Sood crossing the English Channel and Gama Pehelwan winning the world championship in 1911.Their rankings, once in, were given inversely proportionate values -- so No. 1 got 20 points, No. 2 19, and so on. There were some instances where the panellist couldnt separate two moments; the rankings were then put on a leaderboard and the weightage points split equally.Abhinav Bindras gold in Beijing was the outright winner -- winning both the maximum number of votes, as well as the most No 1 ratings. Other moments that were ranked No. 1 in individual lists were the 1983 World Cup win, Prakash Padukones All-England win, Viswanathan Anands 2007 world title, Indias first Olympic hockey gold in 1928 (though some panellists did point out that they ranked Indias first as an independent nation in 1948 at par), Khashaba Jadhavs bronze in 1952 and Ramanathan Krishnans 1960 appearance at the Wimbledon semifinals. Two moments narrowly missed out on the top 20 but were rated No 1 by at least one paanellist -- the Indian cricket teams overseas series wins in West Indies and England in 1971, and the 1911 IFA Shield triumph by Mohun Bagan.dddddddddddd (For the record, two other cricket moments - the 2007 World Twenty20 and the 2001 Kolkata Test - were farther down the list.)If Bindra made it to every panellists list, then Krishnans 1960 run was only in 12 out of 31 lists; indicative that all rankings achieved were fairly high. In contrast, there were six moments beyond the 20 that had as many or more votes than this one. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathis run of four successive Grand Slam doubles finals in 1999 featured on 17 lists, and Vijender Singhs 2012 Olympic bronze got 16 votes, but both missed out on the top 20 as their cumulative points werent high enough.Lastly, if we calculate a weighted mean of all votes received and how each moment performed with respect to that mean, there were only eight moments whose average ratings were so high that they compensated for appearing on relatively fewer lists. In ascending order of mean votes, these moments were those involving Krishnan, Anju Bobby George, Wilson Jones, Indias 1962 Asian Games winning football team, Pullela Gopichand, Jadhav, Leander Paes and the 1928 Olympic hockey team. These were the tough, often excruciating, parts of this exercise. The huge positive was the groundswell of goodwill from our panel and the furious debates the list generated and will hopefully continue to generate in the days to come. ' ' '
