Leicester defender Christian Fuchs has admitted he was freaking out with excitement as he watched team-mate Jamie Vardy score against Germany. Vardy scored his first international goal with a sensational back-heel as England battled back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in Berlin last weekend, continuing a fairytale season for the striker who has scored 19 Premier League goals in Leicesters unlikely title bid. Fuchs was on international duty with Austria and has admitted to Sky Sports that he was out of his seat as he watched the ball hit the back of the net.He said: Vardy is flying right now and I am very happy for him that he scored this amazing goal against Germany. We were sitting in this room in the lobby in a hotel in Austria and there were mainly Germany fans and I was simply freaking out when he scored the goal and at the end when England won. That made me happy.First of all because it was Vards - the way he scored the goal was outstanding - and also because it was against Germany. Jamie Vardy scored his first England goal in Berlin last week Fuchs has won 74 caps for Austria, but team-mates Danny Drinkwater and NGolo Kante were rewarded for their performances for Leicester with international debuts this week. And the left-back says that recognition is important for players in a team that is five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
