(AP) — Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton has joined the Atlanta Falcons as a senior assistant.Sutton was fired by the Chiefs two days after a crushing 37-31 loss in the AFC championship game, when Kansas City failed to stop Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on what turned out to be the only possession of overtime.Sutton joins an Atlanta team that revamped its coaching staff after a disappointing 7-9 season, firing all three coordinators. Head coach Dan Quinn is taking over as defensive coordinator, and Sutton will assist with areas such as game management Khari Willis Jersey , timeout usage and replay review.The 68-year-old Sutton had been Kansas City’s defensive coordinator since 2013, when he joined Andy Reid’s initial staff. The longtime college and NFL assistant previously spent 13 years in a variety of roles with the New York Jets, including a stint as defensive coordinator. The Arizona Cardinals have extended the contract of general manager Steve Keim through 2022.

Keim is a 19-year employee of the Cardinals, starting as a college scout in 1999. He worked his way up through the ranks to be hired as general manager on Jan. 8 Josh Allen Jersey , 2013, just in time to help team president Michael Bidwill interview and hire Bruce Arians as head coach.

In the five-year Keim-Arians era, the Cardinals went 49-30-1 in the regular season.

Bidwill said in a statement released by the club that the achievements speak for themselves and the extension ensures that Keim ”will continue to shape our success going forward.”

Arians retired after last season, and Keim and Bidwill led the search that led to the hiring of Steve Wilks Jawaan Taylor Jersey , the Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator, as the new head coach.

Now Keim’s focus is on quarterbacks. There aren’t any on the Arizona roster.
