HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A former New York Giants player who assaulted his estranged wife at their New Jersey home has been sentenced to one year of probation.Luke Petitgout (PEHT-ih-goo) originally was charged with sexual assault but pleaded guilty Thursday to simple assault.
