Felipe Massa believes Nico Rosbergs defensive manoeuvre on Lewis Hamilton in Austria went just beyond the acceptable limit but was not worthy of a post-race penalty.?Hamilton collided with Rosberg when the championship leader aggressively defended his lead on the final lap. After contact Hamilton went on to win the race and Rosberg crawled home with a damaged car to finish fourth, with both men incurring the wrath of Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff. On Thursday Mercedes confirmed it will not be imposing team orders on its drivers for the incident, which the stewards blamed on Rosberg. Massa, one of the most experienced drivers on the grid, says he questioned Rosbergs driving after seeing the incident a second time.Asked if Rosberg had waited to late to turn right for the corner, Massa said: But this is what everybody is doing if somebody is trying to pass you around the outside, everybody is waiting a little bit to turn. Maybe he wait a little bit too much but waiting a little bit to turn, you do it, otherwise if you turn too early the other guy can pass you on the exit, but this is part of the game. For sure this was a little bit too much. When I saw it the first time I thought it was normal, a race incident, but then when you see the replay, when you see the slow motion, when you see everything, for sure he passed a little bit the limit. He already paid for what he did, he finished fourth and he was penalised but he didnt lose anything so the penalty I think the FIA just wants to show they are doing something but he didnt do anything to get himself penalised. However Massa thought Rosbergs reprimand for continuing with a damaged car was harsh, given that he slowly made his way round to the chequered flag after the incident.?What are you going to do? He will stop? He had nothing to do. Whatever situation like that you come slowly, he came slowly anyway, he didnt disturb anybody.Massa believes the incident would not be such a big talking point if Hamilton and Rosberg had been driving for different teams.?The problem is because, all these talks now is because they are from the same team. Because if they were not for the same team nobody would be saying anything here, everybody would say ah, they are fighting. Its an amazing fight between whatever, a Ferrari and a Mercedes for the championship, this is amazing, but because they are in the same team you guys are ah, its amazing what has happened, I mean we cannot forget they are fighting for the championship. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Tommy-Mcdonald-Jersey/ . Detroit and Boston are deadlocked, 1-1, and Tigers manager Jim Leyland could be forgiven if he was caught rationalizing instead of dissecting how his club could blow a 5-1 lead late in Game 2. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Mack-Hollins-Jersey/ .com) - The Calgary Flames aim to bounce back from their first regulation home loss of the campaign on Friday night when they host a Detroit Red Wings club that they swept in three meetings a season ago. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Brandon-Graham-Jersey/ . It might not have mattered. While the Dodgers are preparing for the playoffs, the Padres showed their future has promise behind two rookies. BOSTON -- The Tigers expected they would need a lot of runs to keep pace with Bostons potent offense that underwhelmed in Detroits series-opening victory. What the Tigers didnt anticipate was being gifted the game-deciding run on a night when the margin of error was small for both teams.Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run home run, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Tyler Collins each had a pair of RBI and the Tigers roughed up knuckleballer Steven Wright to beat the Red Sox 9-8 on Tuesday night. With the game tied in the sixth, Collins drew a bases-loaded two-out walk, which allowed Justin Upton to score the decisive run.Detroit and Boston combined for 22 hits as both starting pitchers struggled to string together outs throughout the evening. With all the offense from both sides, its kind of ironic that a walk is the difference, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said.Saltalamacchia, a switch-hitter, had three hits after choosing to hit right handed against Wright. It was the first time hes hit from that side of the plate against a right-handed pitcher in his major league career. Not since Little League, he said with a chuckle.Alex Wilson (1-0) got the victory, and Francisco Rodriguez closed for his 29th save. Detroit won the series opener 4-2 on Monday night.David Ortiz had a three-run home run, but Bostons offense didnt have enough to offset a rare poor outing by Wright, who gave up nine hits and eight runs over 4 2/3 innings. Wright was leading the AL in ERA entering Tuesday. Its tough to keep asking the offense to keep carrying us like that, Wright said.Robbie Ross Jr. (1-2) got the loss.Detroit scored early for the second straight night, this time taking the lead on Cabreras 20th homer of the season. That was followed by RBI singles from Collins and Jose Iglesias in the second inning that made it 4-0.Detroit starter Mike Pelfrey was solid the first time through the order but lost some of his early command the second time around. It started in the third when Boston nearly erased Detroits lead with one big swing by Ortiz. With Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts aboard, Ortiz connected on a 3-2 pitch from Pelfrey to drive his 25th of the season over the right-field wall. The Red Sox took the lead back an inning later on an RBI groundout by Brock Hoolt and an RBI double by Betts.ddddddddddddhe Tigers continued to get hits against Wright and went back up 8-5 thanks a four-run fifth inning.Boston kept chipping away and used Jackie Bradley Jr.s home run and RBI by Dustin Pedroia and Bogaerts to tie it in the sixth.TRAINERS ROOMTigers: OF J.D. The MLB Network analyst made the rounds in the Red Sox clubhouse Tuesday and said he can empathize with what David Price is experiencing this year. Its his first year on a team that holds a lot of expectations, Martinez said. To be honest, I think hes going be all right.
