Dear Cub fans, Theres probably no one on earth who understands you like we do here in Maple Leaf Land. Fake Vans Online . All the losing, the mediocrity, and never-ending fandom that dates back generations, every one of them pining for the day when all the pain and suffering is over. What would that be like, Cub fans? No, we cant imagine it either. Yes, were unique in the sports world. Our teams can lose and lose and lose and lose and all that happens is people love them more. Your Cubs havent won a World Series since 1908, havent played in one since 1945. We here in Leaf Land arent quite that bad although the last time we won a Cup the NHL had three fewer teams in it than the CFL. Now this week we see youve hired a new manager. And Joe Maddon certainly comes highly recommended, having won lots of baseball games for that little mistake known as the Tampa Bay Rays, the team with no money and no fans and a stadium thats, well … no one will ever mistake it for Wrigley Field. But then again who are we in Toronto to make cracks about sterile, charmless baseball stadiums? But we digress. What we really want to talk to you about is this whole idea of trying to break your pattern of losing by hiring guys with proven records in other places. Boy do we know about that. Joe Maddon and Theo Epstein is a formidable combination, one bound to make you believe that this time is going to be different. I mean, how could you not believe after Maddon starting talking World Series at his Monday news conference. But we here in Toronto, we just want to warn you to be, well, cautious because weve been down this road before with our Maple Leafs. We know just what its like too when someone arrives in town with a shiny track record and big promises because weve seen that here in the centre of the hockey universe. We had Brian Burke and his truculence and pugnacity. And Tim Leiweke and his Stanley Cup parade route. Both those men were with teams which had recently won the Stanley Cup, but it didnt rub off on our Leafs. Oh, but it will be different with Joe Maddon, you insist. If he can win in Tampa Bay, he can win in Chicago. Well, be careful with that. Did you know the four most recent Maple Leaf head coaches all managed to get their teams to the Stanley Cup final. Thats right, Pat, and Paul and Ron all took their teams to the big dance and Randy even led his team to win a Stanley Cup. So you see, sometimes trees dont transplant so easy, Cub fans. Just dont say we didnt warn you that not even genius can overcome history. Sincerely, Leaf Nation Fake Vans From China . The eighth-year point guard played in his 500th career game on Sunday, a 98-93 win over the Orlando Magic. Does he feel like hes played in that many games? "No," he said initially, before reconsidering. Fake Vans Old Skool . The group of Slava Fetisov, Igor Larionov, Vladimir Konstantinov, Sergei Fedorov, & Slava Kozlov were a dominant force for The Wings at one point in the 90s. http://www.fakevans.com/ . Thats 14 consecutive losses to the two-time defending champs, and most of them were over before they even began. Result notwithstanding, Sundays game had a very different feel to it.LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Quarterback Jay Cutler is returning to the Chicago Bears lineup and will start the final game of the season after Jimmy Clausen suffered a concussion. The Bears are going back to Cutler for this weeks game at Minnesota after benching him for Sundays loss to Detroit.Clausen was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit by Detroits Ezekiel Ansah while scrambling on Chicagos final drive of Sundays 20-14 loss. Ansah received an unnecessary roughness penalty.Coach Marc Trestman would not say Monday if a healthy Clausen would have made another start.Thats not an issue right now, he said. The quarterback situation has been a big issue lately after Trestman decided last week to make a change with Cutler leading the league in interceptions (18) and turnovers (24).It was a surprising move by a team that signed the quarterback to a huge seven-year deal after last season, and it raised big questions about Cutlers future in Chicago. Then again, no one appears to be safe with the Bears (5-10) missing the playoffs for the seventh time in eight years after opening the season with high expectations. The future of everyone from general manager Phil Emery to Trestman to the assistant coaches and the players is open for discussion.Ive been supported by this organization since Day 1, that hasnt changed, said Trestman, who is 13-18 in two seasons.Clausen, making his first start since he was a rookie with Carolina in 2010, played turnover-free ball until a late interception. He completed 23 of 39 passes for 181 yards. The Bears said Clausen was monitored by the teams medical staff and the NFLs concussion monitor and showed no signs of a concussion immediately after the hit or on the final four plays of the drive. The team said he was checked on the sideline and after the game and passed all tests. The Bears said Clausen started having issues in the evening and was taken to a hospital, where he was examined by a team doctor and diagnosed.Asked about the severity of the concussion and why Clausen was ruled out this early in the week, Trestman said, I cant say that. I know that each and every situation is dealt with independently. Doctors said that it would be best that he not play.Trestman waas also asked if he considered starting rookie David Fales against the Vikings. Fake Vans Free Shiping. Jay gives us the best chance this week, Trestman said. And so thats why. Thats why hell be out there. And Dave will be in the backup role.Trestman might have to do some relationship mending with Cutler. The quarterback acknowledged last week that he was taken aback by the change. He also said at the time that he could play for Trestman next season, although some repair work to their relationship would be necessary.I believe that Jay can work his way out of this, Trestman said. And Ive enjoyed coaching him and working with him. And we had dialogue last week. And we worked together last week. It was a tough week on him. I empathize with him on that. But were moving forward, both with the idea that weve worked together for a long time and that hasnt changed. There might also be some fences to mend in the locker room.Veteran kicker Robbie Gould criticized the decision to bench Cutler in a radio interview on Monday morning, before the news about Clausens injury broke.I feel really bad for Jay, Gould told a radio station. When youre having a tough season like this, hes not the guy to be the scapegoat or the guy to blame. Theres a lot of guys you can put that blame on. Unfortunately, I dont know if necessarily hes a guy that should take the entire blame because he doesnt deserve it.Gould, who also told the station he will sit out the final game because of his right quadriceps injury, mentioned dysfunction in the locker room. He said there was much more unity under former coach Lovie Smith. The change was made because I thought we needed to get better play out of the quarterback, and we werent getting it and I was very specific about that last week, Trestman said. What Ive always talked to our players about is keeping those kinds of comments in-house, where we can talk about them in-house, so thats how I feel about it. Im not going to comment on Robbies because I didnt hear the comments.NOTE: Trestman said DE Willie Young will have surgery to repair a torn left Achilles tendon. Young was injured during Sundays game.___Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL ' ' '
